Exquisite Facial Cleanser

Exquisite Facial Cleanser is a daily face wash built on a mild, sulphate-free cleansing base. It carries ten botanical extracts, among them aloe vera, marigold, rose, licorice and green tea, with a touch of Kumkumadi Tailam, sandalwood oil and saffron. It is for anyone who wants to wash away the day’s oil, sweat and sunscreen without the tight, squeaky feeling a harsh face wash can leave. Glycerin and sorbitol help skin stay comfortable after rinsing. Use it morning and night as the first step of your routine.

How to use

1. Wet your face with water.
2. Take a coin-sized amount and massage over the face for 30 to 60 seconds, avoiding the eyes.
3. Rinse well and pat dry.
4. Use twice a day, morning and night.

Key ingredients

• Aloe vera extract (5%). The largest botanical in the formula, widely used in gentle cleansers.
• Rose extract (3%). From Rosa damascena petals, a traditional skin freshener.
• Marigold extract (3%). From Calendula officinalis flowers.
• Licorice extract (2.5%). Mulethi root, traditionally used in Ayurveda for the complexion.
• Saffron and Kumkumadi Tailam. Saffron oil (0.5%), saffron strands (0.02%) and Kumkumadi Tailam (1%).

Who it suits, and who should avoid it

Suits normal, oily and combination skin for twice-daily use. Dry skin may prefer once a day, in the evening.

Avoid if you are allergic to marigold or other daisy-family plants, or sensitive to floral extracts such as jasmine and rose. Do not use on broken or irritated skin.

Texture and scent

A lightweight herbal gel that feels smooth and refreshing. No fragrance is added, so any scent comes from the sandalwood, saffron and floral extracts.

Cautions

• For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes; rinse with water if it happens.
• Patch test on the inner arm and wait 24 hours before first use.
• Stop use if irritation occurs.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Common questions

Does it contain sulphates or soap?
No. The cleansing agent is cocamidopropyl betaine, a mild surfactant.

Will it remove makeup?
It cleans light, everyday makeup and sunscreen. For waterproof or heavy makeup, use a makeup remover first.

Can I use it twice a day?
Yes. That is the directed use. If your skin is dry, once in the evening is enough.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
It has many plant extracts, so patch test first.
