The supporting ingredients
Plants alone do not make a stable product. Anything that contains water needs help to stay safe and smooth, and we would rather explain these than hide them.
- Preservatives keep water-based products free of microbes: sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, and phenoxyethanol in the mask. Our oil-only products (Radiance Serum, Hair Growth Serum, Lip Elixir) contain no water and no added preservative.
- Mild cleanser: cocamidopropyl betaine, in the face cleanser and body wash, in place of sulphates.
- Emulsifiers and thickeners hold oil and water together: cetyl and cetostearyl alcohol, glyceryl monostearate, xanthan gum.
- Humectants hold moisture: glycerin, propanediol, sorbitol.
What we leave out
No parabens. No sulphate cleansers. No mineral oil. No silicones. No added synthetic fragrance.
Allergens to know about
Some products contain almond oil, sesame oil, walnut shell powder, wheatgerm oil, honey, beeswax or cow ghee. The full composition is on every product page. Please patch test before first use.
